Donations to PNW

PNW DMR is a regional association of individuals who provide the repeaters, networking and ongoing costs to keep this network operational.

This page is meant to publically acknowledge those who have actively supported the PNW network growth and maintenance.  While the repeater owners are the moving force behind our regional growth, individual support effort by our users will be memorialized here.

Typically only 5% of a club's members voluntarily support a club's efforts when there is no dues structure in place, so those who do so voluntarily go above and beyond, are listed below.  If you feel inclined to actively support PNW DMR, we suggest a nominal $25 annual donation, less than 1 Starbuck's drip coffee a month.

A typical repeater deployment costs $3,500 to $5,000 just in material costs.  Typical site rent and Internet adds another $700-$900 annual ongoing costs.  There are countless hours for planning, trips, tower climbers as well as maintenance and tweaks after the initial installations.  Some installations have 5 hour one-way drives.  Some repeater owners never use their own repeaters as they are located too far away.  All of this is a significant investment by a very few dedicated repeater owners who bare most of the costs for our community repeater and network expansion.

For those who do not actively support PNW, please make an effort to seek out your repeater owners and others listed on this page and extend to them your appreciation for their dedication to help maintain and expand DMR coverage in our region.

We are also supporting the DMRX Help Team's effort to fund the talkgroup server that almost all USA based c-Bridges use to pass many of the major talkgroups.

We would encourage small donations as well.  DMRX provides the most robustly connected talkgroups in the USA but are very much unknown outside of the c-Bridge owners and a few repeater owners.
