Kenneth L. Bryant is a business continuity specialist with extensive experience in business disruption and disaster recovery operations.  In the private sector, he has successfully developed and managed Business Continuity Plans (BCPs), from business impact analysis and vulnerability assessments to business resumption testing, for several multi-national corporations with substantial interests overseas.  In the public sector, Mr. Bryant is an Emergency Management professional and has been involved in the emergency planning, preparedness, mitigation, evacuation, incident response, damage assessment, disaster assistance and recovery services for a major metropolitan county in the U.S. encompassing 2,430 square miles with a population of 2.2 million (Miami-Dade County, Florida).

Some of the positions Mr. Bryant has held in the public sector include: Presidential Staff member for planning and logistics to the White House Advance during the Reagan, Bush and Clinton Administrations; Chairman of an ARPSC group attached to the Emergency Operations Center of the Miami-Dade County, Office of Emergency Management; a FEMA Program Officer, for the City of Coral Gables, Division of Emergency Management; a Certified Emergency Response Team member to the Miami-Dade Fire Rescue Department; a member of the Disaster Response Team of the American Red Cross, and a Emergency Services Staff Officer in both the U.S. Coast Guard and the U.S. Air Force Auxiliaries.  Mr. Bryant is the former ARES/RACES Emergency Coordinator for Clay County, North Carolina and has held the same position simultaneously in the past for Towns County, Georgia.  Mr. Bryant is also a certified Support Firefighter.

Unique among business continuity professionals, Kenneth L. Bryant has actual hands on experience in effectively dealing with large scale business disruptions and disaster recoveries.  Some of the business disruption incidents he has managed have included acts of employee sabotage, bomb threats, work place violence, and labor unrest.  Some of the disaster recovery operations he has been involved in were wide area fires and flooding, tornadoes and hurricanes.

Mr. Bryant possesses a Master of Science Degree in Criminal Justice, summa cum laude, and is a graduate of the U.S. Federal Emergency Management Agency’s (FEMA), Emergency Management Institute.

Mr. Bryant has been awarded the internationally recognized professional designation of Certified Protection Professional (CPP) by the American Society of Industrial Security.  With respect to financial institutions, he is also board certified in Financial Operations Risk Management as a Certified Risk Professional (CRP) by the Banking Administration Institute, Center for Certification.

Kenneth L. Bryant currently serves as a member of the U.S. Department of State’s, Overseas Security Advisory Council (OSAC), and has been recognized by U.S. Secretary of Defense, Donald Rumsfeld, for his service in defense of the United States of America.
